Biography of  KATE  VOZOFF
KATE VOZOFF grew up in the Method.   Her extensive background in theatre includes classical theatre, modern theatre, performance art, as well as independent film.  Her recent Los Angeles credits include a memorable performance as Hester in Athol's "Hello and Goodbye".  One critic described her performance as "captivatingly powerful" and suggested that she was a cross between "a young Shelly Winters and Gena Rowlands".

Kate's long list of credits include performances as Emilia in OTHELLO by Shakespeare, Mertuel in DANGEROUS  LIAISONS by Christopher Hampton, Ellida in LADY FROM THE SEA by  Henrik  Ibsen, Kyra in SKYLIGHT and the Actress in THE BLUE ROOM both by David Hare, Mrs. X in THE STRONGER by August Strindberg, Lady in ORPHEUS DESCENDING by Tennessee Williams, Emma in BETRAYAL and Sarah in THE LOVER both by Harold Pinter.  Experts consider her the best Pinter actress in Los Angeles.

Recently, Kate  gave a merry, funny performance at The Loft Studio in a reading of
THE POWDER ROOM as the bewildered, tipsy Natalie.

In addition to her acting and teaching, Kate is the author of FATHER Q BALL and an adaptation of THE DEAD by James Joyce.   She is a frequent writer for Children's Hospital.

For the past eight years, Kate has been teaching Method Acting at TGS.  She brings her unique style of teaching to every class and her students love and respect her. Kate is often asked to do private coaching of actors for auditions and performances. Actors rely on her guidance and sensitivity. Without a doubt, she is one of the most knowledgeable and competent Method acting instructors in America.
