WORKSHOP
Once a week, on Mondays, a three-hour workshop is open to all members.Time and attention are given to prepared scene work, which is critiqued
and directed by Lorinne Vozoff.
Emphasis is placed on technique (objective, problem, and action) as well as the use of improv, emotional memory, imagination, and communion. If time permits, writing exercises that deal with the character's human condition are also incorporated.
Scene work is assigned by Vozoff. When a production is in rehearsal, time is given to that material.
Exercises include improvisation of the scene being presented.
There is a brief discussion of current film and theatre.
There is a question and answer period each week.
THEATRE GROUP STUDIO is located on South Robertson in Los Angeles.
It is convenient to the Santa Monica (1-10) and San Diego (1-405) Freeways, just south of Beverly Hills and north of Culver City.
Workshop is held on Monday nights. Membership fee may be paid with
cash, checks, or credit card. Students may use the installment plan if required.
